I recently had the opportunity to interview Molly Fay, beauty blogger turned entrepreneur. Molly is the creator of Pura Organics. This was an amazing opportunity for me as I got the chance to ask some important questions to find out for myself and my lovely readers what it takes to be an entrepreneur.
So first, I’ll give you a little background story on Molly and pura organics. As a young woman, Molly always thought it was important to get a head start on the aging process. After years of searching for products with organic ingredients that focused on preventing aging, she decided to develop her own line, Pura Organics. Now she has developed an extreamly successful line of skincare that takes care of and prevents aging skin!
I asked Molly a few questions based around her daily routine and what it takes to be an entrepreneaur. So read on for some major inspiration!
1. Take us through your daily routine a little bit, what is a day in the life of an entrepreneur like?
My daily routine has definitely changed a bit! The days seems to go by much faster. I still have a day job so finding a balance between both jobs has been a struggle yet very rewarding. I am now much more of a planner than I was before starting Pura Organics. Learning how to balance my day job, starting a new company, working on my blog and still finding time to have a personal life is much more difficult than I thought but I wouldn’t have it any other way! I feel extremely lucky.
2. How did you come up with the idea for PuraOrganics and what has your journey been like with the business so far?
Being extremely allergy prone all my life, I’ve had to really be careful with ingredients that I put in and on my skin. After years of searching for products with organic ingredients that were focused on preventing aging, I decided to develop my own line!
3. What is the worst/best thing about being an entrepreneur and having your own business?
Best: helping / teaching others about just how important skincare really is and the ingredients in each product. Worst: Staying consistent and not getting discouraged.
4. What are the three most important things to remember when starting your own business?
How about 3 words?: CONSISTENCY IS KEY!
5. What is your advice to women who are looking to start their own business but may have self doubt or are afraid?
Great question. This is something I have struggled with for majority of my life. Being afraid. I think the most important advice I can give to any woman looking to start their own business is to just DO IT! You will never know unless you try. IF you do “fail”, you’ve learned a lesson, so I don’t really consider it failing. Surround yourself with people who will support your dreams and ideas and encourage and push you to pursue them. Do not give up!
I couldn’t agree more with Molly, just do it, Everything in life is a lesson!
I would like to say thank you to Molly for participating in this interview and sharing some motivation and inspiration.
All I have to say is that it’s so amazing to see someone so young with their own successful business, if Molly can do it, so can YOU!
