Why the last few months of the year are always the best.

Can you believe that 2017 is coming to a close already!

It’s mid October as I’m writing this and all I see on social media is girls drinking pumpkin spice lattes, halloween decorations and cozy fall sweaters. BUT here down under it’s much different. The weather is getting warmer, the days longer, and everyone is planning for their summer holiday.

The mornings are warmer which makes getting out of bed in the morning easier, each day, getting closer and closer to the best time of year.

Now I’m sure you don’t need convincing on why this time of year is the best. There are a million parties to plan, gifts to buy and things to decorate. As the best time of year begins, I’m going to take a step back from all the lights and commotion to think about the real reasons why this time of year is the best.

Family: Spending time with my family is so important to me, and at this time of year ( especially christmas) is so amazing. Every year we try to go on a family holiday and I look forward to it all year because it’s so much fun. Not to mention the food at the family get togethers!

New year: The new year is very important to a lot of people. It can feel like a new chance to change and start something new. It acts as a catalyst for new opportunities and a fresh start. While most people admit to forgetting their new years resolution by February, a lot of people do take the new year as a new chance.

Time to socialise: This time of year is full of parties. Christmas parties, New years parties and your odd halloween party. It’s the perfect time to get together with friends for a catch up and drinks.

The atmosphere is different: I know it might sound silly but everyone and everything seems to change and become brighter and happier around this time of year. It’s the time of year where everyone helps out everyone. Spirits are lifted and everyone seems friendlier.

Let me know in the comments what your favourite time of the year is and why!

Hey Amy, I tried reaching you some time ago about a collab but never heard anything back to you. Thought I’d try again via the comments as my mail perhaps didn’t reach you. If you’re open for collabs I’d love to get in touch with you. Feel free to write directly to my email laura@blogerize.com if you’re interested. Thanks 🙂
