How to de stress and stop thinking about work

We all know this time of year can get a little stressful. Lately I’ve been losing sleep over the most insignificant things and stressing about everything I want to get done by the end of the year. It can be hard to not think about work, we’re there almost everyday of our lives, but it is important to take some time off for yourself. So today I’m going to share with you tips on how I have been de stressing lately, so if you are feeling the same way I am, hopefully I can help!

Workout: This has been the biggest stress reliever for me lately. Taking a walk or going for a run really helps get your mind off things. Adding in an intense HIIT session into my day is always the best thing for me to help relieve stress, partly because all I can think about is how hard the workout it is and not the million things I need to get done. Not to mention exercise actually releases endorphins in your body that makes you happy!

Read: Reading is an easy way to get your mind off things, pick up your favourite book or read you favourite blog and you will instantly forget about what’s stressing you out and stop thinking about work. Read something motivational to help you get back into the swing of things.

Cook: I always find cooking so fun and relaxing, I particularly love to bake, cookies, cupcakes, muffins. I love to look up interesting recipes on Pinterest, go to the grocery store to get everything I need and spend the day cooking my favourite foods!

Spend time with family and friends: This is the most important thing to me, when ever I’m stressed or upset, I can always count on my family to make me feel better. I love to go out to breakfast or watch movies, something relaxing so we can just talk and hang out.

It’s always ok to take some time out for yourself so you can recharge and relax. It’s the most important part of reaching success, if you don’t, you’ll burn out before you get to the top.
